Peanut Butter Chocolate Krispy Squares


  • 80g oats, ground into a flour

  • 40g oats

  • 60g vanilla or chocolate protein powder

  • 15g Rice Krispy cereal

  • 125g peanut butter

  • 115g honey/ maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 125g dark chocolate

  • Topping: 125g dark chocolate, melted

  • Optional: 50g white chocolate, melted



  • Line a small (5x5 inch) baking tin with grease-proof parchment

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, oats, protein powder, and cereal and mix until well combined

  • In a small pan over medium heat, add peanut butter and honey, stirring until the peanut butter is melted and fully combined with the honey. Stir in the vanilla extract

  • In a separate bowl melt the dark chocolate

  • Remove both from the heat and pour melted chocolate and nut butter mix into the dry mixture, stirring well until everything is combined

  • Pour the mixture into the lined tin. Using a spatula, spread the mixture evenly in the pan, pressing down firmly

  • For the topping, place the chocolate into a microwave safe bowl and heat on high in 20 second intervals, stirring after each interval. If using the optional white chocolate drizzle, melt it in the same way in a separate bowl

  • When melted, pour dark chocolate over the top of the packed mix using a spoon

  • Use a spoon to drizzle with white chocolate (optional)

  • Place pan into fridge and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares!
